Yesterday, Forbes Travel Guide revealed its 58th list of Star Rating winners — the most in its company history. New properties can be found across Europe, the Caribbean and Asia, though Wilson is most excited about three 2016 rankings in our design portfolio…
Dorado Beach, A Ritz-Carlton Reserve earned it’s 5-star ranking due to its immaculate design and unparalleled service. From the moment a guest arrives in the open-air pavilion, guests receive individualized service unique to their vacation. Originally built by Laurance Rockefeller in the 1950s, the resort was grandfathered into the footprint of the original hotel, meaning every guest room faces the ocean and enjoys a proximity to the beach that’s not allowed on new builds today.
Perched on Empire Pass, Montage Deer Valley sits in the heart of Park City, Utah. The resort, which averages $1,000 a night for a basic guestroom, offers ski-in/ski-out access, refined craftsman décor and rooms that come with fireplaces and balconies or patios with mountain or valley views. Montage is known for its many family-friendly, amenities, and this resort more than fulfills that call.
Montage Kapalua Bay is the third property to receive its 5-star ranking, and the most recently completed project in Wilson’s portfolio. The resort sits on one of the most exclusive beaches in Maui, sprawling across 24 acres and sitting in between two award-winning championship golf courses. Guests will be wowed by the spacious suites and delicious food at Cane & Canoe, the signature restaurant on property lead by chef David Viviano.
The 2016 rankings boost Wilson Associates-designed properties to a total of 33 hotels, restaurants and spas. Forbes Travel Guide ranks the properties based on 500+ objective criteria with an emphasis on service. The slideshow below showcases a selection of ranked properties in our portfolio. Enjoy!
