We’re ecstatic to announce that Wilson Associates recently won the Silver Award for Fine Dining Restaurant in the Hong Kong Restaurant Interior Design Awards (HKRIDA) 2016 competition for The Manor restaurant.
The fine dining restaurant in the Wilson Associates-designed St. Regis Macau, Cotai Strip in Macau, China, is a venue where cuisine and character come to life.
The Manor is a multi-experience dining venue fashioned after a fictitious Ambassador’s colonial residence. Five individual spaces lure guests in with distinctive settings, seductive touches and delightful signatures that are unmistakably St. Regis. The design team was challenged to recreate the design brief in a space that offered no natural light source. Utilizing a variety of very specific light fixtures and technology in each space creates the desired ambiance, from natural sunlight bathing the room to dimmed light for evening.
Taking on the charm of solariums and conservatories from around the world, The Verandah is fresh and bright with whimsical choices in tile and light fittings to create an experience of garden-inspired elegance. Adjustable lighting in this area transforms the venue from a sunlit terrace in the day to a relaxed ambience in the evening.
The Dining Room represents the heart of the home and a place of refined comfort with a soaring ceiling, soft lighting, tailored architectural details and timeless furniture. Touches of darker colors fuse with a brighter palette to enhance the richness of the space.
The Wine Gallery complements as an intimate setting surrounded by sophistication reserved for the Ambassador’s most discerning friends. Guests dine in plush elegance enveloped by his most sumptuous wines and meticulously curated art collection.
The Penthouse Kitchen is a space that can be closed off, combining an open kitchen that allows for a dedicated chef. The rustic finishes deliver a casual yet exclusive experience. Finally, The Library is a secluded enclave in a contemporary yet comfortable setting with ornamental touches, bookshelves and quietly elegant furnishings.
