Permanence, perseverance and persistence in spite of all obstacles, discouragements and impossibilities: it is this, that in all things distinguishes the strong soul from the weak.
Hilda is known in within the interiors and hospitality industries for her particular and exciting creative approach. She brings to each project a unique method in her design methodology, and has been named as one of the region’s most powerful players in the design community. Hilda works across all projects in Wilson Associates’ Dubai studio as Design Director and Principal of all things FF&E, interpreting the project requirements to create a holistic, integrated, and timeless interior that reflects the brand’s requirements while meeting the client’s ultimate vision.
Hilda is a perseverant advocate for sustainable design solutions. She holds herself and her team accountable for the impact their work has on the environment; she feels strongly that designers have the ability to positively contribute to our fragile ecosystem. Hilda seeks inspiration from each of the places she travels, always taking advantage of observing her surroundings for new colors, textures, objects, and emotion. Drawing from real life sensory journeys, Hilda applies these feelings to her design concepts and the outcome is evident in her work. Hilda is both spunky and sophisticated, giving way to all the projects she works resulting in truly a one-of-a-kind look when she’s finished with them. When Hilda sets foot outside the studio, she can be found either relishing the lights of the city, exploring the desert for the perfect camp site, or enjoying time at home with her family — probably making pizza in the wood fired oven!
